Een engels schuifpuzzels boek is het boek Sliding Piece Puzzles van Edward Hordern uitgegeven bij Oxford University Press in 1986. Edward heeft alle varianten op de schuifpuzzel een code gegeven en beschrijft ze stuk voor stuk, Jantine heeft  enkele  in haar boek gezet.

De bekende bedenker van de 14-15 puzzel heeft een boek geschreven over al zijn puzzels die hij bedacht heeft. Waaronder de 14-15 puzzel, maar ook de moving day puzzle. Het boek is in zijn geheel te vinden op deze site. Mathpuzzle Op pagina 234-235 vind je de 14-15 puzzle en op pagina 082-083. Of er meer schuifpuzzels in het boek staan heb ik nog niet ontdekt. Ook puzzel bedenker Henry Dudeney heeft een boek geschreven over puzzels (zelfs 2), of hierin schuifpuzzels in staan is voor mij een raadsel.

Schuifpuzzel op de kaft van An Overview
Af en toe verschijnt er wel eens een boek of magazine met een schuifpuzzel op de kaft. Zo ook dit boek. Dit boek Computer Science - An Overview wordt gebruikt voor Fiscaal recht en is een Engels boek en al uitgebracht in 2006. Ik heb er helemaal niets mee, behalve dan dat de negende editie een schuifpuzzel als cover illustratie gebruikt. En niet zomaar een schuifpuzzel, maar de Diablotin van Think Fun. Wilt u meer weten over de Diablotin lees persbericht 5. Het boek kun je nog overal tweedehands kopen. Ook mijn vriendin heeft hem en zo kwam ik er dan ook achter dat er een mooi plaatje op staat. Verder heeft de schuifpuzzel niets met de inhoud te maken, hoewel ik echter wel denk dat er een diepere betekenis achter schuilt. Wellicht dat ik in een update van dit bericht meer kom te weten bij de maker van deze illustratie.
De schuifpuzzel verzamelaars kunnen in ieder geval genieten van dit plaatje.
